A varied four-day hiking suggestion. Start with urban nature walks with nature reserves and outdoor recreation areas. Continue towards deeper wilderness areas, with both overnight cabins and dense forests, steep rocky shelves, past lakes and through ancient cultural landscapes. Finally through the Strömmarna nature reserve, past the rivers Munkedalsälven and Örekilsälven with the spectacular waterfall.

This is a suggestion for a three day hike.

Day 1: Depending on how far you want to hike on the first day, take a car or bus to either Glmmingen or Skalgrusbankarna in Uddevalla municipality. Hike Stage 13, or the remaining part of Stage 13 and parts of Stage 14. Stay in a cabin, in a hut/shelter along Stage 14.

Day 2. Hike the remaining part of Stage 14 and parts of Stage 15. Stay in a hut/shelter along Stage 15, either at Lake Nedre Trästickeln, at Lake Viken or at Modalen, right next to Strömmarna nature reserve.

Day 3. Hike the remaining part of Stage 15 and Stage 16. You can choose how far you want to hike on Stage 16.

You can, for example, end the hike near one of the accommodation facilities in Munkedal and enjoy a lunch.
